Andro Damjanić (15. Aug 1929, Vrboska, island of Hvar) - is a Croatian photographer who began with his work in the early 1950s. Since 1959 he worked as a reporter for the Dalmatian daily paper "Slobodna Dalmacija". Petar Jović - Pempeka, also a conversant photographer of that time, talked him into accepting this job. He continues working for the paper until 1995, when he decided to retire from active work. Mr. Damjanić has received many awards concerning his artistic contributions, beside that he was for many years also the chairman and committee member of the Split Photo Club (Fotoklub Split).
