Label owner Louis Osbourne had been in agreement with Weekend Offender clothing for 6 months that he would launch a music company of the same name and would work in conjunction with the clothes label to promote events, including the very successful party at Club Der Visionaire, Berlin he organized in July, that was done in conjunction with Clink Records. When the clothing company trade marked the Weekend Offenders name in breach of their agreement, stopping Louis from doing so he decided the best course of action was to shut down his operation and re-launch it under a new name and Mija Recordings was formed.
