Andy Pearce
Mastering engineer at Masterpiece Mastering, London.
His career began in 1977, in the chaotic work of Essex Studios, laying down the multi-tracks for large bands such as John Dankworth / Cleo Laine and for X-Ray Specs. While he was at Majestic Studios, clients’ demand for restoration enabled Andy to hone his special skills in that area. Andy’s exquisite ear, professional manner and attitude have earned him the reputation as the best in the specialist field of restoration and re-mastering. Listening to over 250 hours of Bing Crosby radio programmes, for one project, is testimony to his patience and dedication. The end result also won him the much-coveted Cedar Award.
Andy has re-mastered singles and albums by some of the great artists of the last fifty years, such as Elvis Presley, Ian Hunter, David Essex, Terry Callier, Burt Bacharach, Harry Nilsson, Anthony Newley, Mighty Wah, Sid Phillips, Jacques Loussier, Donovan, John Denver, Motorhead, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Todd Rundgren, Rory Gallagher, Lou Reed, Gene Pitney, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, X-Ray Specs, The Kinks, Quartz, Mandrill, Lonnie Donegan, Lonnie Liston Smith and Steve Ellis.
