American music journalist and author. Born in Manhattan on August 17, 1951. Began writing about pop music in 1972. Later served as editor and publisher of NY Rocker, Director of Editorial Services for Epic Records (until 2000), and as a research consultant to the Rock Hall's Library & Archive.
