Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, producer and engineer. Thompson studied composition, percussion and jazz at the University of Michigan School of Music. He has worked with Belle & Sebastian, Taylor Swift, Dan Wilson, Semisonic, Missy Higgins, M. Doughty, Julia Douglass, Dessa, and Daniel Johnston. He is a longtime and close collaborator of singer-songwriter Jeremy Messersmith.
