Band, *1997 SE, Copenhagen
Rock
Angantyr was formed in Denmark in 1997 as a one-man project led by Ynleborgaz. The band started out as synth/ambient but after a while the style quickly developed into raw black metal. In 1998 the five-tracked first demo "Endeløs" was recorded. In 2000 the debut album, "Kampen Fortsætter", was recorded. The sound had improved and it also contained a re-recording of "Da Frostvind Blæste" from the first demo. In 2001 The second demotape "Nordens Stolte Krigere" was recorded in a small shed in the forest of Egebæksvang and the tape was made as a dedication to the Swedish band Domgård, who was imprisoned for their honorable deeds (church burnings). In October 2002 the album "Sejr" was recorded and released by BBSA in 2004.
