Musician of Rock
German Hard-Rock band formed in 1990. After some changes and a first 4-track demotape "People In Motion" ("Selfmade Man", "Crazy Boys", "Tokyo Girl", "Naughty Girl") Menderes Ince (bass), Dirk Seyffarth (keyboards), Thomas Kraneis (guitar), Peter Waldheim (vocals), Frank Diehl (guitar) and Stephan Masloff (drums) became the first longlasting bandline. Musically, ANGEL HEART can be matched with the bands BONFIRE, CASANOVA or FAIR WARNING and SCORPIONS. 1991 ANGEL HEART stood on stage with AXXIS and CASANOVA and produces a second 5-track-demotape ("Hero", "City", "I don´t know why", "I cannot belive" and "Here we stand". The song "Here we stand" was released on CD-Compilation "Lüdenscheid Rock". In 1992 the 3-track Maxi CD "I Love The Night" was released with the additional songs "I can not Believe" and "You And I". The ballad "I can not believe" topped the local radio charts for several weeks. After the release, Menderes Ince left the band and vocalist Peter Waldheim took over the bass. In the end of the year VELVET MOON RECORDS released the CD-Compilation "Signs Of Our Age" with "Forever" by ANGEL HEART. 1993 the ANGEL HEART debut CD "Give Me Five" was be released by Velvet Moon Records. The CD booklet was created similar to the KISS "Double Platinum" (1978) Vinyl in the elaborate silver stamping process. The 9 songs offer fast and powerful melodic rock. The CD was produced by Andy Susemihl (among others U.D.O., SINNER). Again a ballad, "Carry on" topped several local radio charts for weeks. The songs "Don´t talk anymore" and "Waiting for You" were released on "IDPC no.3/93 CD Compilation". At the end of the year a second CD edition of "Give me Five" with new coverarts was released and distributed by "Long Island Records". 1994 The "Long Island Records"-released CD-Compilation "AOR IV/94" contains ANGEL HEART´s "Don´t talk anymore" beneath artists like TAKARA, TRANSIT, HEARTLAND or STEEL DAWN. In june a festival gig with SAXON at the Castle-Altena Festival was recorded and another 3-track Maxi CD "Give it - LIVE" featuring "Don´t talk anymore", "Waiting for you" and "Love the night", recorded at this gig at the Castle-Altena Festival was published by Velvet Moon Music. The "Long Island Records"-released CD-Compilation "AOR IV/94" contains ANGEL HEART´s "Don´t talk anymore" beneath artists like TAKARA, TRANSIT, HEARTLAND or STEEL DAWN. Autumn brings the release of "Give me Five" in Japan by ZERO Corporation (Toshiba-EMI Japan) with expanded CD booklet and ANGEL HEART was named one of the best international newcomers in japanese Metal Hammer magazine. ZERO Corporation released over the Year 1995 two CD-compilations with ANGEL HEART songs. On one hand "Mellow", 15 great ballads with JADED HEART, CAUGHT IN THE ACT, THE QUEST and "Carry On" by ANGEL HEART. On the other hand "Master Volume Project Vol. 9", 13 big rock songs with TALISMAN, RICK WAKEMAN, RAVEN and "Forever" by ANGEL HEART. In the same year ANGEL HEART toured as a band for GOLDEN EARING. Starting the recordings for the next album, again there was a change of occupation. Thomas Kraneis leaves and Uwe Carsten "Obi" Obier joins the band as new guitarist. In December 1995, the ANGEL HEART CD "Transplantation" is released again by Long Island Records. The album once again was recorded in the PWS-Studio in Kierspe and produced by Andy Susemihl. This is where ANGEL HEART covered the POLICE song "Message In A Bottle". With this CD, ANGEL HEART have moved away from the melodic rock and now let different influences such as funk, fusion and rock flow into their 17 songs. This makes the disc slightly weaker than the debut CD. Musically however, the musicians move on a good level. Unfortunately "Long Island Records" had to go into bankruptcy and all touring plans for Europe and Japan got busted. The band stucks in stagnation for the next years and keyboarder Dirk Seyfarth left the band forming a very successful "Fun"-Project called "Sauerland Schurken". In 1999 RACOON RECORDS released a CD-compilation "Best of Alt Werdohl" with "Stay Tonight" by ANGEL HEART. Comback in 2004 mit new lineup Peter Waldhelm (vocals, bass), Obee (guitars), Frank Diehl (guitars), Chris Pfannschmidt (drums). Great 4-track 12"-CD with "Human Error", "Side By Side", "Hymn (Ultravox-Cover)" and "Exotic Dreams". After a few very good and electro-infused shows the band leaves without any traces ...
