Soul - jazz - r'n'b singer - songwriter Born on 02.05.1954, West Bronx, New York City, U.S.A. Born to a Cuban father and a Puerto-Rican mother. Between 1978 - 1996 she recorded ten albums. Has dueted with Johnny Mathis for the romantic ballad "You're A Special Part Of Me" (1984). Her signature tune is "I Try" but she has recorded as well dance hits like "Too Tough", "Angel Of The Night", "Something About You" etc. Has recorded with a wide range of artists like Norman Connors, George Duke, Narada Michael Walden, System, Dave Grusin etc.
