Singer of Brass
Romanian pop singer, well known during the 70's and 80's. Born on April 17, 1955, in the village Urecheni, Neamţ County (where he returned in 2007 after his father's death) and died 7 July 2015. She withdrew from musical life in the 80's, preferring to teach singing. He graduated the Conservatory ‚‚Ciprian Porumbescu’’ in Bucharest in 1978, was colleague of Mihaela Runceanu. Immediately after graduation was employed at Ansamblul ‚‚Doina’’ al Armatei. She toured the country with ‚‚Ansamblul artistic al UTC’’ (1975-81) and Ansamblul ‚‚Doina’’ al Armatei (1978-81). He also performed and abroad in countries like Bulgaria, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. He launched several highly successful hit, the biggest success of his career in 1985 as the album composed by Victor Socaciu. On September 17, 2011 was found at his home in a very serious health condition, abandoned and forgotten by people. Prizes: 1971 - Trophy ‚‚Floarea de argint’’ and inter-county Prize Festival ‚‚Florile Ceahlăului’’ with songs ‚‚A doua tinereţe’’ (by George Grigoriu) and ‚‚Uitarea’’ (by Radu Serban); 1971 - Second Prize at the ‚‚ Floarea de lotus’’ contest – Oradea; 1973 - Composers and Musicologists Union Prize at the ‚‚Vlăstarele cântului’’ contest – Iaşi; 1975 - Trophy Amara in the eighth edition of the Youth Festival from Amara; 1976 - Third Prize at ‚‚Festivalul naţional de muzică uşoară de la Mamaia’’, section of pop music; 1977 - Trophy ‚‚Steaua fără nume’’ .
