ANIMA – musica human mundane et instrumentalis was founded in Brazil in 1988 as an ensemble reflecting Brazilian musical interpretation and memory. The most recent (2008) formation of the ensemble ANIMA – musica human mundane et instrumentalis leverages artistic collaboration and cooperation to produce concerts with musicians Marlui Miranda – voice, arrangements, Brazilian indigenous recorders, percussion and research; Sílvia Ricardino – troubadour harp, research and arrangements; Maríla Vargas – soprano, research and arrangements; Paulo Dias – percussion, harpsichord, organetto, research and arrangements; Gisela Nogueira – viola de arame, research and arrangements; Luiz Fiaminghi – Brazilian fiddle (rabeca), research, arrangements, executive management and production, and Valeria Bittar historical recorders, Brazilian indigenous recorders, research, arrangements, executive management and production.
