Anji Bee is the vocalist and lyricist of So Cal duo, Lovespirals. She has also collaborated with a number of electronica and ambient artists over the years including Nick Murrary, The Grooveblaster, Moosefrog, Rom di Prisco of Bitstream Dream and Machineries of Heaven, Chukimai, Chandeen, Falling You, 7 Day Visa, and Karmacoda. Her work with the CC Asia Band on the ccMixter site led to dozens of remixes, mashups, and additional collaborations with artists such as Benoit Cassar, Giovanni Perini, Loveshadow, and volk1. Bee's vocal style combines a jazzy sensuality with soulful ethereality and has been compared to Sade, Astrud Gilberto, Liz Frasier, Beth Gibbons, and Tracey Thorn. Anji is very active in the podcasting and Web 2.0 community. Since 2005, she has created and produced a series of podcasts and vidcasts including Chillin' with Lovespirals, the 2 time Best Podsafe Music Podcast nominated Chillcast with Anji Bee, Chillcast Video, Lovely Ladies, and Unwind. She was also a hostess the People's Choice Podcast Award winning ShowGirls and has guest hosted or appeared on numerous shows including The Daily Source Code, Dave's Lounge, In Over Your Head and many more. Her popular weekly podsafe chillout music podcast, The Chillcast with Anji Bee, enjoyed a stint on Sirius Satellite Radio as part of Adam Curry's Podshow lineup on Sirius Stars 102, and Anji has guest hosted many episodes of the International Lounge Network radio program, Atmosphere 69, for Mix96 in Canada. Anji's music has appeared on TV and cable programs including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Martha, What Perez Sez, Mind of Mencia, Gastineau Girls, Cribs, and many other shows on stations including MTV, VH1, E!, Playboy, Logo, and Current TV.
