Ann L. Dentel is a California-based composer, performer and improviser, and holds an MFA from Mills College. She has scored traditional choral works, created structured improvisation, and been involved in performance art, guerilla theatre and conceptual music. Perhaps her most obsessive project to date is presented in her book "365", a collection of pieces written one a day for a year. Dentel collaborates and plays with Cheryl E. Leonard, Bob Boster, Karen Stackpole, Patty Liu, and Big City Orchestra.
