Album UK on Decca label
Pop (Vocal, Chanson)
Due for release in May 1951, the lyrics were thought to be unsuitable for a female vocalist. Mademoiselle De Paree is an English language version of the French Chanson- Mademoiselle De Paris. Strangely, Mitchell Parish, who wrote the English lyrics, is omitted from songwriting credits on the label. Anne Shelton's Mademoiselle De Paree was eventually released in the US coupled with "In The Chapel Of San Remo" (London Records 1067) in Nov 1951.
