Anomalous Disturbances notes: This recording is different from my previous albums in that it is a collaborative effort with my brothers, Chris and Wayne. During late December, 2003, I visited them in Los Angeles for the holidays. We spent a few days just hanging out, playing music and recording our improvised jams. Chris and Wayne contributed greatly with their rhythmic and atmospheric interplay to my asynchronous, looping Ebow guitar and guitar synth - there's percussion and beats in five of the eight tracks. Throughout the intervening years (2005-2008) we revisited these recordings sporadically, overdubbing additional textures, editing and mixing. We chose to title this work simply "Inside", due to the cocoon-like nature of the recording studio and our mindset at that place and time. Terrence O'Brien June 25, 2009
