Recording notes from the jacket back: "The sound on this VIKING record is engineered to perfection and is the final product of years of research and development of stereophonic and monophonic recording techniques. All original recordings are made with NEUMANN SM-2 Microphones on AMPEX 350-2 and 300-3 magnetic tape recorders affording a frequency response of from 20 to 20,000 cycles per second. Original master discs are cut with a TELEFUNKEN-DECCA ZS90/45 cutter on a NEUMANN AM 32B lathe using a special amplification system. "All phases of recording, mastering, and quality control are under the supervision of Bill Harris, chief engineer for VIKING RECORDS and VIKINGTAPE in cooperation with AVCO LABS, N.Y. AUDIOTAPE Mastertape Type 2551 M is utilized throughout all phases of recording. "'The world's finest quality monophonic and stereophonic record' is a result of using only the world's finest equipment and materials...AMPEX, TELEFUNKEN, NEUMANN and AUDIO TAPE...a unique combination of world-renowned manufacturers of quality resulting in a world famous quality record, VIKING. " All VIKING recordings conform to the RIAA playback curve."
