Portuguese pianist. Began his musical studies at Academia de Música de Vilar do Paraíso (Vilar do Paraíso Music Academy) where he concluded the complementary course of piano in the class of the profesor Teresa Monteiro. Afterwards, he joined the ESMAE (Oporto Superior School of Music and Performing Arts) where he concluded a Bachelor of Music degree in the class of the professor Sofia Lourenço. As a student at the ESMAE, he also studied at the Hochschule der Kunst, Berlin, in the class of professor Laszlo Simon, under the Socrates/Erasmus programme. After getting the diploma "Master of Music" at the Hartt School, University of Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A., in the class of the professor Luiz de Moura Castro, he returns to Portugal. He was a finalist at the "Emerson String Quartet Competition" and got an Honorable Mention at the Maria Campina Competition.
