Ante Nižetić

Ante Nižetić (Selca, 23rd May 1924 – Okrug Gornji, 17th May 2007) - Croatian poet, musician and songwriter. He published two song- and poetrybooks : "Stare bračke užance" (1969, Ii editions) and "Naš Brač – Smih i Plač" (1978). Several of his songs were instrumetalized by Dalmatian klapa choires - "Kanpošanto" as one of the most famous (music by Krešimir Magdić) or "Uz ražanj i žmul" or. Nižetić was awarded many national music awards for his work and art.
