First 1948 LP album pressing with Alex Steinweiss 'Tombstone' cover. A reissue of ML 4022 with different cover art (blue cello painting) was released in 1950. First pressings of ML 4022 had tan covers followed shortly after by a blue color scheme variation. Recorded January 17, 1946 at the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, PA., with debut release on February 1947 as Columbia Masterworks set M-658 (78rpm). Nonbreakable - Long Playing Microgroove
