Single UK 2005 on High Quality Recordings label
Electronic (Abstract, Experimental, Ambient)
Written and produced by Geraint Francon The sound of Llechi ('Slates') is proundly influenced by the stark, still landscapes of Gwynedd, which range from the high mountains of Snowdonia to the rocky coast of the Lleyn Peninsula. The track titles are grid references, pointing to particular locations throughout the area which we recommend you visit while listening to the music. The album artwork includes examples of the slate art that was prevalent in the area around Dyffryn Ogwen in Gwynedd during the last century, much of which has been lost due to lack of appreciation and neglect of these beautiful pieces which once adorned every house in the area. Each copy of the record is encased in a hand-crafted canvas cover and accompanied by a unique piece of Welsh slate.
