Arne Svendsen

Arne Svendsen (11 December 1884 – 20 November 1958) was a Norwegian songwriter and revue writer. He was born in Fosnes, and was the father of singer and theatre director Herbert Herding-Herberth. Svendsen wrote more than 2,500 songs during his career, in addition to more than one hundred revues. Among his songs are "Svigermor og Evensen og kjerringa og jeg", performed by Einar Rose, "En liten gylden ring", sung by Jens Book Jensen, and "E'hel ei, e'halv ei", introduced by Lalla Carlsen in the 1955 Chat Noir revue Kjør Storgata.
