Arno Reinfrank

(1934-2001), born in Mannheim and grew up in Ludwigshafen, went to England after several study visits in Paris and Berlin in 1955 in protest against the restorative policy of the Federal Republic and lived until his death on June 28, 2001 in London. Reinfrank was secretary general of the P.E.N. Center of German-speaking authors abroad and is the recipient of numerous honors and literary prizes.
