This recording was made in the Concertgebouw on the occasion of the stage production by De Nederlandse Opera in Het Muziektheater, Amsterdam - October 1995. Coproduction with the Salzburger Festspiele 1996. Publishers: B. Schott's Söhne, Mainz. Arnold Schoenberg wrote this opera in 3 acts between 1928 and 1932 but never composed the music for the third act.
