Compil. US 1997 on Blue Note label
Jazz and Latin (Afro-Cuban Jazz, Hard-Bop)
Recorded at Manhattan Towers, New York City on March 7, 1957. Issued for the first time in stereo, except track 5, the final tune of the session, which was recorded only in mono. Originally issued on BLP 1554 & 1555 as Volumes One and Two. Covers of CD adds "Blue Note ST-56586" for those who find the Capitol catalog ID lacking a sense of history. An obi strip and the interior tray art call this a limited edition "Connoisseur CD Series", but there is no detail as to whether the limitation is on quantity or time period of availability. Total time 68:14
