This selection was recorded four times for Edison: - first version by Arthur Collins (w/piano) was released on Brown Wax cylinder in Nov-Dec 1899. - second version by Arthur Collins (w/banjo) was released on "early style" black Gold Moulded cylinder lacking information pressed into cylinder rim in 1902. - a third, significantly different version was also recorded by Arthur Collins (w/Vess L. Ossman, banjo) and released on a Gold Moulded cylinder on an undetermined date - a fourth version was also recorded by Arthur Collins and released on a Gold Moulded cylinder with a beveled-edge containing title, catalog # and type moulded into the rim in 1908. This release is likely to be either version 3 or 4.
