Artifact was a band from Stavanger, Norway, that was formed in 2004. After Tor Arne Fassotte has decided to leave Artifact after 11 years as the lead vocalist the band ceased to exist. Tor Arne Fassotte and Tory J Raugstad will carry on with their band Sons Of Zero. Programmed beats and frequent use of industrial samples and synthetic noises make the sound of Artifact rather electronic, but with a metal edge. The music is all about pounding machine beats and raging guitars against ethereal synth backdrops and gothic mystique.
