Prof. Dr. Artur Simon (1938, Wesermünde, Germany) is a German musicologist best known for his work at the head of the Museum of ethnology (1973-2004) for the Prussian cultural heritage foundation and their extensive collection of 160000 ethnological music recordings. Simon also conducted the digitizing of the cylinder collection of the Berlin Phonogramm-Archiv (UNESCO programme "Memory of the World").
