This Arturo Toscanini Society is not to be confused with the one founded by Clyde Key in Texas. This "UK" Society issued Toscanini LP's often off speed, from poor sources and offered in bare bones packaging. LP labels are blank and the contents are taped to the back of the album. The label implies that both works are from 1938. This is incorrect. The 6th symphony was broadcast October 29, 1938. But the Overture was broadcast April 19, 1941 (from Frank, Arturo Toscanini - The NBC Years, Amadeus Press (2002), pp. 212-213.
