Tanzanian band. Founded in 1971 in Arusha, Tanzania by the Kinyonga brothers (Wilson Peter Kinyonga and George Peter Kinyonga) after they left the Jamhuri Jazz Band. The band moved from Arusha to Mombasa in Kenya later in 1971 where they took the name Orchestra Simba Wanyika. However, the brothers performed and recorded using both band names until 1973 when they stopped using the Arusha Jazz name.
