Back up String ensemble assembled by Astor Piazzolla, funded in France in 1955 and disbanded 1958. Used for his first compositions and early Nuevo Tango performances. Under this ensemble, Piazzolla released a number of shellacs and vinyl singles and 5 releases: Three in France: Sinfonía de Tango, 1955, Astor Piazzolla Son Bandonéon Et Ses Cordes, 1955 and the live recording Astor Piazzola Et Son Orchestre, 1955 ; Two in Argentina: Tango en Hi-Fi, 1957 y Lo Que Vendra, 1957 This ensemble would have two formations: A French one formed of strings from the Orchestre National De L'Opéra De Paris and select pianists and bandoneon artists, which included a repertoire composed of the likes of Martial Solal and Lalo Schifrin. With this formation he recorded the three 1955 releases, (due to French law forcing foreign artists to work with French musicians) ; And an Argentine one with Jorge Sobral on vocals with whom he recorded the singles and Tango en Hi-Fi.
