Do not confuse with Astor Piazzolla Y Su Quinteto, a different, more famous quintet project Short lived ensemble by Astor Piazzolla during the end of the 50s. Most of it's members were american Jazz artists and acquantainces of piazzolla. The goal was a fusion of Tango and Jazz meant to break in the US market. The project was unsuccessful and disbanded after releasing one album. Piazolla went back to Argentina and in 1961 founded a new quitnet.
