Atomic Filth formed in early 1980 in Cardiff, South Wales. They recorded one studio session demo in 1980 at Cathay's Studio in Studentville, Cardiff. they performed only a handful of gigs before Tony Watts aka Socket left the band. At this point they had Eddie Flemming join the band to play bass and changed their name to Icons Of Filth.
