Musician of Classical
A.k.a. 菅原淳
Japanese percussionist born in Osaka in 1947. He began studying piano and marimba at the age of seven. In 1970 he graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris under J. Delécluse and S. Guarda. He has performed with the Japan Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. He formed Ensemble Vent d'Orient in 1977. He lectured at Tokyo College of Music, Musashino College of Music, and Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi.
