This is a song that I created on a whim to see if I could musically capture the desert. The main features are shaker sound effects that sound like the rattler of a rattle snake, ambient vocals that pan back and forth, congas, wind chimes and a simple electric guitar line. I tried to use this instrumentation to portray a feeling of desolation, searing heat and emptiness such as one would experience on a lonely ride through the desert. I drew upon my own personal experience from a road trip that I made from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
