German romantic lyricist, born February 3, 1792 in Bökendorf, former Fürstbistum Paderborn; died on December 31, 1866 in Hannover. His aristocratic origin is the family "von Droste zu Hülshoff", best known by the German lyricist Annette Von Droste-Hülshoff, who was his niece. Amongst others, he was lyricist, economist and collector of traditional songs.
