b. 1947, d. Feb. 2016. South African singer. Over the years, she lived and worked in Jamaica, USA, London and Paris and has lived outside of her home country ("in exile") for most of her life. Travelling extensively, her 1977 "Full Experience" debut was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and produced by no less than Lee Perry. A second album, "Itshe", was recorded in Brussels, Belgium in 2000 before she returned to re-settle in Johannesburg, South Africa shortly thereafter, concentrating mostly on community projects before recording a third album.
