Aurelia was a post-hardcore/metalcore project formed in Windsor, Ontario in 2011 and active until 2015. The band was formed after the break up of a previous band "Trajectory" based out of Leamington, Ontario. Three of the six members from the final lineup, Dan Zompanti, Preston Lobzun, and James Dreidger, began to write songs for what would later make up the EP "Latex and Hot Sex" and the album "Living Ghost". Shortly before the recording of 'Latex', James was replaced by guitarist Jake Moroun and the band additionally recruited "Bleach" guitarist Andrew Cyrenne as a session musician for all future non-live recordings with the exception of "Songs for 2014". Aurelia performed regionally for most of it's existence, occasionally recruiting live fill ins and embarking on short mini-tours. On November 21st, 2015, Aurelia performed their final show and announced their official disbanding concluding with the release of the final show digitally onto bandcamp some days later.
