Büyük Birader (Big Brother), was founded by vocal-guitarist Bora Biçer with participation of Gerçek Dorman (drums and percussion kit) and Ulaş Tercan (bass and cello) in 2007, Ankara. Büyük Birader, got its name from a character who watches everyone and represents a totalitarian and repressive system in George Orwell's cult novel 1984. Even though the band is a basic combination of the bass, drums and electro guitar trio, by accompaniment of Ulaş Tercan's cello and Gerçek Dorman's percussion kit to the songs which were arranged acoustic by Bora Biçer, a new acoustic style was formed inside band. which catches a different energy with both electric and acoustic sets the band's genre mostly sounds like rock besides influences of blues, country and funk styles. The band like to improvise on stage and they also have instrumental works. The band which has songs about criticism of the system, self reckoning, desolation and non-superficial love, released their first album “Yol" (Road) in 19th february, 2016 labelled by on air in all digital platforms and music markets. The first music video of the album was also relesed at the same date. You can watch their live performance soon, since they are about to begin album promotion concerts.
