A.k.a. Bertha Jeanne Snowden-Wilson
American female musician and composer, who only performs and writes under the name of B.J. Snowden. She started playing the piano at the age of three and later explored musical development at Berklee College of Music. B.J Snowden was discovered by the staff of the now-defunct record store East Village where the staff found one of her demo tapes in a bargain bag. Fred Schneider of B-52's, a frequent shopper at the store, also heard her music and wanted to officially release her music. She was first signed to DeMilo Records where she released her first album, then later released her music on her personal label 98 Records. B.J. Snowden is also the daughter of Virginia Snowden, whom she frequently plays concerts with. And the mother of Andrés Wilson, who plays bass on certain songs by B.J. Snowden. Andrés Wilson is also a member of the group Andrés Wilson & The Waters.
