Album US 2012 on Scolex Recordings label
Dance (Industrial, Breakcore, Experimental)
"Suslatry" : Latin prefix "sus" - swine. A pig is any of the animals in the genus Sus. Greek suffix -latry, -olatry: worship; excessively, fanatically devoted to someone or something “service paid to the gods” Taking influence from industrial, witch house, rhythmic induction, and Voodoo, Baconhanger's intention was to create a variety of tracks to use live, to build intensity. "I wanted to create atmosphere... mood. To take the listener on a journey, enticing them into my world with stripped down, minimal beats, and then build into a frenzy. Writing music is much like story telling, and you can't give the plot away at the beginning. My releases are like chapters of a book, but released completely out of order, and playing live is my chance to edit it down into a more linear chain of events. My intention of slowing things down a bit, for this album at least, was to add to the overall 'plot.' I don't believe I'm "slowing down" or "losing my edge", but I do feel I needed to produce a few tracks to allow the audience some breathing room. If you give them a minute to breathe, once that first bit of intensity comes back around, it hits them harder. Right now, I'm giving the fans a chance to breathe, so just wait and see what happens next!"
