A.k.a. Bačova Česka Kapela

Texas Czech band performing polka and waltz music. Founded by Frank J. Baca (or Bača) in Fayetteville, Texas in 1892. After Frank died in 1907, the band was continued by his son Joe Baca until his death in 1920. After that, it was led by Joe's brother John Baca from 1920-1952. From 1926-1927, the band performed live on Houston radio station KPRC in 1926 and 1927, and in the 1930s, it recorded for OKeh, Columbia, and Brunswick.
