About Bad Fathers A.K.A. The Committee (8) -------------------------- Conception: --------------- In 1997, the founding members of Bad Fathers formed a group and launched a project that has been maturing both musically and professianlly throughout its six year history. The Crew: ------------ The core members of Bad Fathers are the MC's (Automatic) and (Juan Hooks) plus producer (Jethro). Bad Fathers features a live band consisting of guitar, bass, drums, keys, a DMC style DJ, and a spoken word artist. Bad Fathers has released three albums and are hard at work on a fourth. The first production, still under the band name of The Committee was Harvest Time in 1997, followed by Too Many Sheets in 2000, and most recently Throwing Chicken Bones at the Crack House, released in September 2001. Bad Fathers operates its own studio, (Rosemary Records), and has recorded, mixed, engineered and mastered all three albums in house. Keep your pupils popped for the upcoming release, Go Poke a Hole in Yourself, slated for early 2003. Bad Fathers is currently located in Iowa City, Iowa. The crew has forged a solid live act which has allowed them to perform with acts such as Ja Rule, DJ#0 of Slipknot, Naughty By Nature, Rakim, Kotton Mouth Kings, Digital Underground, Slum Village, Next, MTV's DJ Scribble, Pharcyde, Doodle Bug of Digable Planets, Atmosphere, Def Comedy and Def Poetry Jam acts, Michael Frante's Spearhead, 8ball and MJG, The World Famous Beat Junkies, and many others.
