Ethiopian singer and songwriter, singing in Amharic and Tigrignay He was born April 1943 in Adigrat, Tigray. In young age, he was selected to be the singer of the first line-up of the Ras Hotel Band alongside Girma Beyene, formed in 1960. Later he focused on his solo career which ended in 1973 when he became accountant and left music industry.
