Albanian violonist and composer ✰ 1913, Elbasan, Albania ✞ August 4th, 1980, Tirana, Albania 1930 - graduated from the Normal Secondary School in Elbasan Began working as a teacher in Lushnje, Fier and Korça and violinist in the orchestra of this school 1937 - Graduated Conservatory of Piave, near Bologna (1931-1937) 1937 - 1943 worked in Normal School in Elbasan 1947 - was employed at the Ministry of Culture in Tirana and moved to Tirana where he worked as head of music at the Committee of Arts and Culture and then Vice Chairman of this Committee by December in 1951 From 1950 - paid attention to his creativity and begin to compose songs as “Vajza e Kombinatit”, ” Tangoja shqiptare” 1951 - 1953 worked as a responsible for the music sector at the Ministry of Education and Culture 1956 - elected secretary for music at the Albanian Writers 'and Artists' Association 1968 he was appointed deputy director of the Folklore Institute where he worked until 1974, when he retired During his life, composed over 200 songs and two operas (“Vajza e portokalleve” dhe “Flladi i lirisë”) Colaborated with orchestras of Radio Tirana, The Symphony Orchestra of Tirana and with The Tirana Philharmonic and Theater of Opera and Ballet Has been a very active activist of the Albanian music life of the 1950's and 1960's both as a promoter and as a composer
