Spanish brass band from the city council of Valencia based in Palau de la Música, Valencia. Founded in 1901 by Salvador Giner. Under the baton of Santiago Lope, the Municipal band gave its first concert in 1903 performing, among other pieces, L’Entrà de la Murta, composed for the occasion by Giner. Chief conductors of the Municipal Band have been Lope, Vega, Ayllón, Seguí, Palanca, Ferriz, Garcés, Ribelles and Sánchez Torrella and Fernando Bonete. Rafael sanz-Espert is Chief conductor since 2018.
