Band,
Rock
Metalcore band from Worcester, MA, existing from 1996-1999. Barrit's first lineup consisted of Steve Neale (vocals), Zach Jordan (guitar), Lou Oliveras (bass) and Nate Wicka (drums), all former members of Worcester hardcore band Relm. Just after recording their 7", Andy Kyte of Western MA hardcore band Gandiva joined on second guitar. Soon after, Pete Chilton (a former member of fellow hardcore band Platform and who during this time played alongside Zach in Bane (2)) replaced Lou on bass. Lou would go on to play in Canadian hardcore band The Swarm (3). This lineup with Pete played on the full-length CD. The final lineup had Steve switching to drums as Nate left to focus on his post-hardcore band Tipping Canoe, while friend Mike Beshaw took over vocal duties until the band's demise. The final lineup would go on to play in various bands such as Ink Cartridge Funeral, Silent Drive, Dasai and The Year Of Our Lord, as well as continuing on with Bane. Barrit reunited for a one time only show in 2003, a benefit for Steve Neale who tragically died in March 2002.
