Barry Hale is an artist and film maker based in the UK - originally self-taught, his early super 8 works were screened extensively across the UK, with further screenings in Holland, Italy and the US. With Photographer Mitch Jenkins he formed Harvey Zajac Films creating music videos for Love and Rockets, Fields of the Nephilim, Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry, Venus Fly Trap and The Jazz Butcher. Studying for a degree in film theory and practice at the prestigious University of Westminster Film School and a masters in Screenwriting at Leeds Metropolitan's Northern Film School, he more has recently worked with artists on a series of moving image works that have been extensively screened internationally. Much of this work was produced through Threshold Studios; established as an artists' led production company in 1996. He and Business Partner Uzma Johal are also joint Festival Directors of Lincoln's Frequency Festival of Digital Culture. Barry Hale is currently working with Dave Kirby (Bruise, Satori, Mali Rain) as Duende.
