Aruban group from Oranjestad, Aruba founded in 1991 and performing a mix of hip-hop, r&b, zouk, tumba and dancehall. The group was formed In 1991, when Aruban rapper Janiro Eisden (born 1 April 1975) and Dutch rapper/producer Dino Dirks performed at a talent show in Aruba, with several of their songs receiving airplay on local radio. In 1993 Dino Dirks left the group and was replaced by DJ/producer Kurt Labadie (DJ Kindamage). The majority of their music was released on cassette at this stage which were in heavy circulation across the country. In 1995 the group released their debut album "Suave". The title song was well received across the Antilles selling 20,000 copies, resulting in several concerts across the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao). In 1997 the group released their sophomore album "Mundo Cruel" which included the hit singles 'Ladiesnight' and 'Marlene'. In 1999 they released their third album titled "Crijojo Funk" a colloborative effort between Basic One, and popular stand up comedian Vale Croes. The following album "Danki Senjor" and the single 'Destino' had strong Christian undertones, while their next album "Destino Di Ghetto" was also performed as a theatrical piece across schools in Aruba to educate the youth on some of the dangers of life in the streets. In 2004, producer Michael Lampe alias Kultivator (born 2 november 1977) joins the group, helping the group find success in Europe with their sixth album "Bo Sa Caba". The single "Idioma Di Bu Cuerpa" was in rotation on Dutch radio station FunX. The follow up single 'Nami Loke Bo Tin' reached the charts in the Netherlands, seeing the group perform at the Dunya 2005 festival. After the sinlge 'Dos Amor', a song about Janiro's Son, the group signed with Dutch label Walboomers. In 2007 their seventh album "Masterlijk" was released featuring appearances by K-Liber, Cats'Tribe, Q-Sign, Randy Cordelia and Chris Sticks.
