Album US 1969 on Buddah Records label
Folk (Indian Classical, Bangladeshi Classical, Folk)
Original pressing with variant liner (no jacket mfg. #), and variant center labels (typeset) from this U.S. vinyl by same catalog #. Recorded in the basement of Big Pink The cover is a reproduction of a photograph of Nabani Das, father and teacher of Purna and Luxman Das, provided by Albert B. Grossman. Bob Dylan visited the group while recording, and posed with Purna and Luxman for a snapshot which would later become the cover of John Wesley Harding. With special thanks to Tom Donovan (The Donovan mention on the release is because he kept a copy of the tape for himself, which allowed for this release, as the original "Basement Tapes" were stolen)
