The Beacon City Band were an acoustic band from the San Marcos / New Braunfels, Texas area that released one album in 1981. Roland Denney [Five-string Bass]; Denice Franke [Vocals, Guitar]; Douglas W. Hudson [Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica] & David Wright [Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, Recorder]. They played "Americana" music before it was called that, similar to that other central Texas outfit, Uncle Walt's Band.
