An upstater by way of North Carolina, Rebecca spent portions of her childhood summers in East Meredith, New York. Today, she counts herself lucky to call the Catskills foothills home. She and boyfriend, fellow bandmate Brian Shafer, reside in a parsonage in Richmondville. Falling asleep to the sound of her Dad playing the piano and singing along to Broadway musicals laid the foundation for a lifetime love of music. In her formative years, Frame belted out classic rock tunes from Lynard Skynard and the Allman Brothers with her older sister, who would grill her sibling on band names and lyrics. Although she wasn’t great at remembering band names or song titles, she knew what she liked. Singing was salvation for Frame, who credits her hours spent hitting the high notes in a reform high school chorus for keeping her sane. She now focuses her energies on warbling love letters to and for rural Americana. Frame names Susan Tedeschi as a key influence in her singing career. You might have heard her singing along in her car as she navigates the backroads of Delaware County. Offstage, Frame watches over a pug-Boston terrier, Louie, and a cat named Target (tar-ZHAY). She is stacking up her song list for an upcoming solo album and tuning her powerful vocals. She and Shafer will work together on the album and in the meantime, jump on opportunities to gig together as much as possible.
